Hi all
Just after some advice. I have an 09 Abarth grande punto in red with black stripes on the side. I want to remove them, do you think there will be any issues with colour fade? I don't own a da so if I remove them and find a silhouette where they were ill be gutted. Also if there is a silhouette how could it be removed or reduced by hand?
Thanks

There will be a difference, but it depends on the state of the paint job ofcourse. If it's a red car, it would normally fade over time in the sunlight, but maybe your punto has a clear coat on it? If so it doesn't fade nearly as much.
Anyways... your car is from 09, so it can't be faded much. The good thing is, that you can just polish the difference away with a buffing machine, but it would not be something I would do by hand, as you need the machine to take of the very top part of the coat, and even it out, and that would be too much work by hand. If you have residue form the stickers, you can move that with wd40 - the only thing i know it actually does well. Wd 40 is mostly made of babyoil which is made of vaseline which is made of petroleum - so it will not hurt the paint.
