Collected car from the mechanic and their hands have made black marks all over the cream/beige steering wheel in the 2012 Fiat 500. Nooo! How can i remove this best? I really thought they'd take care not to mark it but clearly not and I should put a cover on next time it's in for a service.

Actually, they should put a cover on, and/or wash hands before touching wheel. Very poor.

Easiest way to clean it, take it back and demand that they clean it.

yes this, its down to them to keep it clean

I have a ivory coloured leather steering wheel, picks up grime even from clean hands,
just bought a leather cleaner and a leather balm from a local auto store ,
works great.

I had to GIVE UP and buy a cover for the cover!

You might try a small amount of WD40 on a microfibre cloth.
Gently rub at the marks. Works wonders.
