Hi everyone,


I've had a phone call from Fiat saying my car (62 plate Punto TwinAir) is due it's 2nd year service. It's got 23k on the clock. All well and good, knew the service was coming up, but I nearly cried when they said it was £330! The first was £160 which I thought was bad.


Is this normal? I asked what exactly I'm getting for this and they said, oil and filter change, spark plugs, pollen filter and a 'good' look at the car. Surely it's not that difficult to do those things, and I'm assuming it's just a visual check, so I'm feeling a little shafted.


I know very little about cars, but my previous servicing (albeit from a non dealer) was well over half that. I asked about another type of service, but was told there wasn't one and that if I didn't have my car serviced my warranty would be void.


Any advice? Am I just overeacting? It's £330 I don't have!

you don't have to get it done at a main dealer any vat registered garage can do it using oem parts and warranty is still valid, try gary at langham test centre
or if you want to keep it main dealer use glyn hopkin in ipswich.
