he could have left rabbit off his list post

I had never thought about eating rabbit before you started going on about this...so I have given it a try and it's lovely. I really want to thank you for pointing it out to me, I am now going to eat rabbit every time I see it on a menu. I am eating out this Friday and Sunday and guess what I will be eating..mmmm lovely rabbit.

Oh I have just thought about the karma you keep banging on about thats not going to be good for you because you were the one that turned me on to rabbit and now all those little rabbits are going to be killed and eaten.

Can't beat a decent rabbit stew. Especially ones fresh out a field.. :)

Question is, is it as fresh as the duck I had last weekend :p

Try a bodyshop who offer pdr, that should push out fairly easily. I've heard bad things about chips away to do with their training and experience so not too surprised by his reply to you.

Hmm i had a repair done to my van back in 2006 by a chipsaway guy. i took it to his house and in his back garden he had a ford focus Mk1 RS jacked up on one side and two heat lamps blazing away next to it baking off some paint. i was shocked. he had repaired what looked like most of the side of the car then painted it. that to me is not what chipsaways raison detre is. my repair was OK but on the other side of the van a long mysterious scratch appeared afterwards like someone had rubbed down the side of it with the end of a ladder. never used their services again after that.

i believ chipsaway is not a company that trains and employs PDR people but it is a company that sells franchises to people with the cash. I think you need at least £15,000 for a franchise (its probably £25-30k now) and they will sign write "your" van (you have to supply the van) they give you the advertising and stationery and a big manual of "how to's" or something along those lines. as far as training goes Im really not sure what training they would give joe bloggs who rolled up to buy a franchise with £25k in his sky rocket. its scary to think that you could end up with somebody thats had some sketchy 3 day training course come work on your car (and you what courses are like you meet at 10am coffee at 11am an hour of intros then lunch then you make a start and before you know it its 4.30pm time to go, day 2 not much different...) what level of training CA give their franchisees i dont know for sure. there are many franchises around where as long as you pay them the franchise fee they dont care who you are or how skilled you might or might not be. they also make lots of promises about all the work that will be available to you if you join the franchise only to find that everyone is scrabbling around trying to earn a half decent wage and pay back the loan on the franchise.......

for PDR i would go to an independent with history/recommendations.

Yeah I've heard similar horror stories. Apparently the only training their given is to repaint something small like a wing mirror no matter how little previous experiance before hand. You can't learn something like body repair over the course of a few days, it takes years of experiance. As for painting a whole side outside, it's laughable. Smart repair is only designed for a maximum of one panel per repair. Anything more and your asking for trouble! As with all franchise businesses it's all a money making swindle! I'm sure there is some good chips away guys out there though, can't tar them all with the same brush. My only advice to anyone thinking of using them is to go off a recommendation or see if the guy has a personal portfolio. I keep one for most of the work I do !

Hi . Have u tried a vacuum pump to pull it ( the type u use to lift glass ) I work in a body shop and have seen our lads use them if the dents not creased-:)
