I keep asking the daftest questions on this forum but you know....anything for an amateur?
just wondering would i notice a big difference between applying my polish/wax with applicator pads vs microfibre cloths.

Apply with microfibber covered sponge (halfords) and wipe off with a cloth.

autoglym super resin :)

i ment to say firm silly phone.....

One mistake people make with SRP is to use way too much a pad dampened in water then about 2 smartie size blobs will probably do about 1.5 square ft (depending on temperature paint type and a few other variables)

look at the autoglym perfect palm applicator (the red one) i find them really good especially as they are nearly impossible to drop on the floor ;)

yep i noticed a huge difference when i went from a dry cloth polishing all the car at once to a damp cloth doing one panel at a time :)

i wash, polish and wax (or autoglym high gloss sealant) my car once a fortnight (ish)....
is this routine ok or should i use something to remove the wax/sealant before polishing again?

the polish will remove the Extra gloss protection... There really shouldn't be a need to do the car that often EGP should last a good couple of months even in winter.....

invest in a bottle of Quick detailer (rapid detailer By autoglym is ok and easy to get hold of for the money) once you have dried the car after washing .. a light mist over and a buff up will bring back the shine :)
