Also, you can call me a cynic but I have some doubt as to whether these are really being sold because the seller's mate accidentally ordered too many.

What defamatory comments

Agreed. However, to the extent necessary I would rely on a defence of "fair comment".

In particular, assuming that when you buy by the box you get a dozen individual bars, then the person who purportedly bought this by mistake must have paid £150 for what they thought was one clay bar. An idiot in a hurry wouldn't make that kind of mistake. Of course, there might be far more than a dozen per box - maybe 48 (or more) in which case that figure goes up to £600+.

Interestingly, in preparing this post I noticed that there is a thread on Detailing World in which several contributors have said that there is an abundance of fake 3M clay out there: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=227874. Of course, I am not saying that this clay is fake. On eBay some of this stuff is going for a fiver. I'll stick with Bilt Hammer.

Christ. I best reply

We ordered 3 via a friends body shop in Tottington. Didnt want to pay Meguiars prices also didnt know about the bilt hamber. Couple days later Paul rang me and told me the clay had arrived. That's when he told us we had ordered a box each.

Only 5 in a box ended up with 3 boxes between 3 of us. £12.50 is the trade price.

And these only need water too.

Fairy nuff. Apologies if I was a bit conspiratorial earlier. All the best.
