Basically all,

I have a full day tomorrow to restore my bumpers (hopefully)

Can anyone recommend a product to restore them, and applicator.

I willl be doing it by hand but after spending 8 hours t-cutting my old corsa, I believe doing the bumpers on the punto shouldn't be too bad, if possible.

The difference is, colour was lost in the old car due to oxidisation, i'm not so sure about the punto as t-cut seems to have no effect what so ever on the paint.

Can anyone recommened something?

you need some of this

and some good soft polishing cloth, T-cut is useless stuff especially the coloured stuff

the good thing about the autoglym product is that you can add water to the cloth if you want to thin it down and get a finer cut

To put it polity your stuffed if its turning pink


It's clear coated so you won't see any colour as the polishing compound will initially remove the clear coat... if you do "strike through to colour your at respray time


Only thing you can do is try and slow it down .... polish with the new formula super resin polish and ideally a ag red perfect palm application pad...few hits of that you use spairingly if It dusty your using too much... buff off . then use ag extra gloss protection use a baby sponge to apply then leave an hour ideally 2 to cure then bugf off ideally a second coat of egp after 24 hours






To remove overspray you want a Denibbing block and a lot of care

shame it's beyond unpinking thoough, think I'll just wait until its near white and get it re-done

clear coat oxidation can make the paint under it look dull, you can remove it with some thing like g10 but it will take some of the clear coat with it, use with a spray bottle of water

still wont bring it up like the body though will it

suppose if it was looked after properly from the beginning, it wouldnt have faded like it has.

Which. T cut have you used?original red bottle stuff ?

If so its too harsh on clear coated finishes and can cause marring which gives a cloudy finish

Yeah the red stuff. Were talking months ago though
