Applying Wax Question

I use liquid hard wax which goes on like water an hardens not sure if it has carnauba in it it autoglym don't like to say

I use Meguires Gold class caranuba liquid wax and if applied with a damp aplicator sponge it mists up better so you can see where youve been but sets almost clear. (only dries with dust where you put too much on)
Ive never used Autoglym wax personally, but I used Simoniz Diamond Hard liquid wax that was a PITA to buff up afterwards! But gave a deep glossy shine.

Be careful with using a damp pad depending on what wax you apply. A pure carnuba does not like being mixed up with water when being buffed off in my experience!

All the caranuba waxes Ive used recomend using a damn foam applicator to aid application.

Used Poorboys Nattys red paste wax the other day and OMG it goes on so easy and comes off easier! Think its about 30% caranuba (not 100%sure) so sets hard as nails and gives epic beading!

Using Autoglymn HD I use a great non scratch thingy to apply the wax ... my fingers. It really works and, believe it or not, if you have lousy, brittle nails it will do them a power of good too! Takes a little longer but the product goes miles further due to no absorbtion into a cloth.

Did you not get the red applicator pads with the HD wax  I found it impossible to get a thin coat by hand where as a foam applicator pad gives a nice even coating...

I use Zymol and my supplier has told me to use my fingers to apply the wax thinly.(y)

I also use on occasions the Meguiars liquid wax and find it a good product, that is easier to apply than Zymol. For the Megs I use the little pad that cam with it(y)

did they give a reason for this?

I found with several wax types there was no way on earth i could get an even thin coat by hand.... just end up with high ridges of wax which is a waste of product

nice fine applicator sponge pad i can get it even thinner using the DA polisher :D
