Hi huys, so i just went outside and noticed that there is some cancerous rust growing on my car :/............. any ideas on how to remove it or stop it......It's mostly underneath the car and on the foglights. Thanks in advance!

depends what sort of rust, what car, and whereabouts on it, it is.

Car: Fiat Mk2b 1.4 16v Sporting

Areas of Rust:
* Fog lights
* Small area on the paintwork under grille
* Calipers

This is why living in a seaside area sucks! -.-

if it's just slight surface rust, rub it back with fine sandpaper and repaint sometimes you can just paint over the rust though, a good anti rust undercoat or something may help, but isn't always neccessary. Calipers just clean and paint with suitable paint.

Living in seaside isn't all that bad, i've not really had that many problems with any of my cars, but then i have only ever lived near the coast so don't have anything to compare with.

Maybe using hammerite would be good, that protects metal very well in my experience!

Im going out tommorrow to look for stuff to use on it ill check for hammerite also
