If I'm not intending to polish I don't dry mine. I use an Aquagleam filter for the final rinse, best sprayed on in a misty fashion. Car dries naturally with absolutely no streaking or water marks. Cuts down the risk of swirls to the absolute minimum.

Carrie can do it on my behalf ;)

Woahhh this threads still going :)

Still using the "Serious Performance Uber Premium Drying" and i'm happy with it however i noticed one of the edges has got a hole in it now so i'm sure it'll fall apart in the not too distant future, I shall get a dodo towel when it goes & see what i think of it!

Although, I must admit i can never get it as soft as it was when it was new, I don't know if i'm crap at washing or what! Maybe i should get a girlfriend... then again, it'd probably be cheaper to buy a brand new towel every time i clean the car ;)

I like the idea of this too, I've got a friend in Scotland who just hoses his car & lets it air dry and it doesn't mark due to there soft water so could be a good one.

Though i live in a hard water area, looks like i can get 20 washes out of £50 :bang: still tempted though!

A lot of the time the streaking is down to the Shampoo you use, I use Merr Car Shampoo and I cant stress enough how good it is, it's only £9.99 a bottle and you only need a small cap full, gets off moulded in dirt and bugs a treat too, then I dry using a normal bath towel, making sure it's freshly clean so no bits stuck to it to scratch your car, never get smears on mine with that method.

Sorry if someones already mentioned this type of method havent had a chance to read through the thread yet.

Hope this helps

Got one of these for Chrimbo:

Looking forward to trying it out this weekend. It's VERY thick, looks and feels excellent.

I do like the look of that, planning a cleaning session soon as my car looks terrible & I feel guilty so its going to get a day of TLC.

just ordered snow foam lance & snow foam today... though, I don't have a pressure washer so that's a slight flaw in my plan but i shall borrow one and see if its any good.

dont talk rubbish, the streaking and water marks spots etc are down to the water used on the final rinse, doesnt make a difference what shampoo you use.

anyone need any advice on zero ppm water pm me i have a business which uses hundreds of litres per day and I know a lot about.

I wanted one of the zero ppm filters to put on the hose, but in Bristol it seems id be lucky to get 20 washes for my £50-60 (cant remember exactly)... other areas are a cool 70+ (n)
