i think the pot of wax is for detailing, people that show their cars use it, i personally wouldnt bother. i just use AG super resin polish and it does a grand job.
someone else might have more info.

Re: Autoglym - Extra Gloss Protection or Autoglym HD Wax

Super resin polish only gives short term protection both HD wax and Extra gloss protection will seal the paintwork and last a long time

(in terms of EGP your looking at at least 4-5 months) cant comment on HD as i have only just started using it.....

EGP is a Synthetic sealant where as HD wax is a erm wax,,

if it was me i would polish the car with super resin polish....

then treat with EGP (leave for an hour to cure as its easier to remove the longer its left)

then next day treat with HD wax (it gives a much better wetter looking finish than EGP)

Re: Autoglym - Extra Gloss Protection or Autoglym HD Wax

AG HD easy peasy 6 months...used to use it still have my pot dont use it much anymore though if im honest use FK1000 with BOS on top /RG55/Migilore Primo...plus FK1000 is cheaper than AG HD...
follows AM advice both will work brill to...wax gives a nice warm look to the car...

a quick one FK1000-->BOS
and 2 layers of FK1000 on the headlight....

you dont HAVE to use Extra gloss but yes after as the solvents in EGP will remove the HD wax

Re: Autoglym - Extra Gloss Protection or Autoglym HD Wax

try and leave atleast a couple of hours to ensure the EGP is fully cured (got a 500ml bottle of EGP for 4.99 from Boyes the other week

I had problems removing the HD at first give it a good 20-30 mins to cure
Thanks Adrian Bravo thanked for this post
