Autoglym Super resin

I think it was you Andy who posted that bilt hamper auto balm video of before and after on that bonnet? If so, does it work as a polish or a wax because it's almost described as a wax but on that vid it's finish looks like it was used as a polish! It kinda confused me lol

it contains paint cleaners ;) and it rehydrates the paint iirc

Just a quick note, i had the day off today so decided to wash the car and whilst the weather was still dry i thought id try the srp, what a good and easy product to use the finish it gives is brill along with the egp a deep gloss mirror finish. Overall im really impressed with it, how long would it be till i would have to use the srp again as in time wise?

depends how you care for it run it through an automatic carwash and you will be redoing it tomorrow

same using a garage jetwash with TFR (traffic film remover) strips it all off

otherwise 4 months isn't an unrealistic aim

Quick one regarding this product, 1...when u apply this do you do it in a circular motion? or would that cause more swirl marks. 2...the more coats u put on the better it is.
All it is im purchasing a kit soon with that and the extra gloss protection with it. And the car is in need of a good polish.

Alright mate, u mentioned that you are thinking about buying a kit, if u are you should check this company out - Detailed Obsession. Send a message to Gaz and he will sort u out and tell u what product would be the best for your paint. He sorted me out with a 4 stage detailing kit and the car looks awesome when polished different league to any autoglym products in my opinion!

Granted i think that autoglym is a good product but i find it highly overrated, there are lots of less well known products out there for less that are better. I use a product called repro auto polish, i think its far superior but not as easy to get hold of.

At the end of the day i feel that people think autoglym is just a safe bet especially as its one of the most expensive polishes they do and people have used it for years and wouldnt want to change to something new.

Just my opinion lol

its good because of how easy and little you have to use, it also fills and hides light swirling. Its very versatile.

I've experimented with loads of different ones, but its the best "off the shelf" one you can buy imo. And it isnt Autoglymns most expensive polish.

It's not highly rated enough imo, especially on sites such as detailing world

I'd recommend getting some Lifeshine (ex eBay).
I did mine when I got it home and then a few days later.

It'll provide a good base seal for many months.

I've used autoglym on my cars for many years and always been happy with the results.

Dosn't that prove that it's an overatted? detailing world have a lot of professional detailers that make a living out of it, they need the best finish. but dont use it. And i dont think that all of them use very expensive polish either.

Doesnt prove anything. Pro detailers normally use maching polishes so they will use polishes that are more suited to these than SRP which is predominantly a hand polish. SRP isnt overrated or underated imo. From the several polishes i have tried by hand i always end up going back to it as its not been beaten yet imo.

i use super resin alot, having worked for one of autoglyms retailers, i have found their products to be good value for money. but i also buy alot of my stuff off cleanyourcar.com but i have found that the stuff i buy off there doesnt make much difference to super resin, providing u seal it in properly, its a brilliant item.

iv got major OCD and clean my car every week with a fine comb...

Bet that leaves some scratches!

SRP is my favourite product to work by hand, it worked wonders on my grandparents' old Corsa;

Topped off with a layer of Lusso Oro Wax it has lasted for ages. Well, apart from the bits that got replaced when some nutter crashed into it. :bang:

I didnt realise there was soo much to givin your car a good shine, im gonna try that srp on my broom yellow punto, can anybody reccoment me a descent sealent/wax or anythan else to finnish it off nicely, preferably sumthing i can easily get hold of? My yellow car needs a good coat as i often just shampoo and wax with mer resin or watever its called.
thanx

i use Autoglym High Definition wax, cheap but really goooood! about £30 a pot u get everything with it and it is easy to use. u can also try chemical guys mirror look finish which is a good sealant at only £10 ish.

go on cleanyourcar.com good advice on there aswell
