the best way to keep paint clean is to work at it clean buff and wax it and iff it starts to look a little faded give abit of t-cut ago.
no magic secrets just hard work
we back in 1990 sorry but using t-cut on modern clear coated paint is a no no
I bought Farecla G3 and G10 for use on my mini when I repainted it. I recently had to use the G10 on my Stilo to lift millions of paint dots from where a thick neighbough sprayed his fence on a windy day.
You not heard of Clay?
I'm currently using Meguiars NXT generation spray wax. Its £8.99 from Halfords of all places. Bargain price, goes on easily, buffs up beautifully and its so easy to both apply and buff you'll wonder why you don't always wax your car.
wouldn't call it a wax more of a doped Quick detailer it lasts 2-3 washes if your lucky
I also use Turtle Wax Nanotech alloy wheel polish.... always thought alloy wheel polish was pointless until I tried it! My newly refurbished wheels will be polished this way forever as it makes lifting brake dust a doddle and the wheels look fantastic!
TBH i haven't used it any LSP on alloys is a bonus
I used to always shammy my car too, but more recently i've been using a large turtle Wax silicone blade to get the water off the car, seems to work a treat and it certainly never scratched the car.
FFS BIN THE BLADE you get one bit of grit trapped under the blade it will Muller your paintwork invest in a decent drying towel
Final tip... have plenty of decent polishing cloths. personally I buy the massive 60 pack of cotton terry clothes you get in places like Costco and use them. That way if you drop one while polishing you just get another out the pack.... I also boil wash the clothes after use!
I use 1 cloth to apply polish to bodywork.
1 or 2 to buff paint.
1 for black bumper trim/mirrors etc.
1 to apply wax to wheels
1 to polish wheels.
So potentially 6 polishing cloths if I don't drop any... always pays to have too many rather than too few.
cant beat foam or "terry" applicator pads depending on what you are doing
Silicone blade?! Just no. They are much wore than leathering the car. You want to use a drying towel.
Using a decent wax means you only have to put wax on once every few months. It shouldnt need doing every few weeks and get a load of microfibre towels to polish and buff off.
:stupid:
