Alright i looking to give my car a really good clean but im not sure what products i need and whats best for the money

I have a karcher pressure washer and i was thinking of getting a foam lance to snow wash it to start with then i wasn't sure about wax and polish and things like that can anyone help me out, the more opinions the better :D

Thanks

Use Auto Glym super resin polish on the paint topped with extra gloss protection and bumper care on the plastic.
You wont get much change out of £15 for the polish but all your mates will need to buy ray bans (£200) to look at your car.

Yeah I love Auto Glym super resin polish and find it one of the easiest to remove!

The bumper care is fantastic, it removes polish and really brings the black back up :)

We then finish with Natty's wax, which is great and smells like you could eat it!

Re: Cleaning !!1

I was just wondering if i was to snow foam the car and i dont want to do all those stages which would you drop out and which would you keep?

Re: Cleaning !!1

its best to do all the stages really, but if you have your heart set on snow foam (it is cool) and cant afford to get the rest of the stuff yet, then i would have this process:

Wheels (Car shampoo applied with a brush if cant afford Bilberry)
Snow Foam
Shampoo
Polish

It is best to clay your car first though, and then seal the paintwork with a wax or sealant after polishing. However, if you use auto glym super resin polish once a month or so then you would get away with not using a wax or sealant.

Personally, I would invest in clay and a wax before investing in snow foam, but thats just me.

Re: Cleaning !!1

i would say either colly for wax or sealant go for some Finish Kare 1000p (FK1000) roughly 20 quid a tub for either, need some applicators and some fluffy MF's, go for the Eurows Shagpile ones mostly...

polish: another applicator, AG SRP and a few MF's...

Thanks to you two ive spent a small fortune on cleaning products, but now im wondering what to use on my wheels after bilberry and type of clay or wax ?

its just the start of the spending ;)

clay, either bilt hamber soft (which only needs water as lube) or sonus green, which will require a lube such as megs last touch or Sonus' own.

You dont have to do anything after using bilberry if you dont want, but a good layer of a durable wax or sealant wouldnt go a miss.

EDIT: this clay http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-clay/sonus-green-ultra-fine-clay-refill/prod_327.html

and this lube (which doubles as a quick detailer and drying aid) http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-sprays/meguiars-last-touch/prod_225.html
this will last you over a year as it is dilutable ;) I got some at xmas, and ive still got just under half left!

Rather than buying sumat more
this is what if ordered do you think it should do the job?
Bilberry
C/G body wash
BIG microfibre washing towel
C/G butter wet wax
Autoglym super resin polish

What do you think?

CG bww is not bad but i would get some applicators the german one, and as ive said above colly its cheap and like steel if you want to get everything from one place....FK1000 is only avaliable from alex at SP....i personally woulad say of got the FK though...

btw: use regular BH on wheels its abit stronger than SOFT removing more cr*p....

Sorry for all the questions again but,
Whats so special about german applicators and what do i use it for?
Whats FK and what does it do?
And same but with BH?

german applicators for SRP and wax/sealent giving the most control to give a thin layer of either as to much and your just simply wasting the product tbh. FK1000 is a sealent (like a wax but artificial as oppossed a wax natural) basically is the cheapest form of wheel sealent that can be used on car bodies to and gives good results compraed with cost.
BH is a clay like Tris mentioned above although if using SOFT on wheels its sometimes not agressive enough due to the overall softer feel of the soft over the regular...

Bilberry - good call
C/G body wash- good call
BIG microfibre washing towel- washing towel? or drying towel?
C/G butter wet wax- its good for looks, but dont expect it to last that long
Autoglym super resin polish- good product

not getting a washmitt?

I was looking into that this morning but didnt know which was better sheepskin or lambswool which i was going to get off ebay, which applicator is the best the ultimate german one?
