where do u get the blue masking tape and what it called tris?

car cleaning websites. Will be in accessories part most likely

:yeahthat:

got it from CYC, although it can be found cheaper than from them, but im detailing a guys Nissan GTR next week, so need some really.

Its just 3M low tack masking tape if you want to get it off ebay or somewhere else though. Waterproof aswell i believe.

I've got a beading shot of this wax aswell, but internet was off at home last night so couldnt upload it...

beading shot attached... does it look weird to anyone else?

No idea about the properties of the product and it's protection/durability..

but chemical guys butter wet wax.... Sorry but it's called WHAT?! What BS marketing team came up with that? I truly can apreciate a really carefully cleaned car but honestly... butter wet wax?

that is very true andy...autobalm does work well esp. on black plastic trim although im 1/2 and 1/2 at the mo...1/2 with autobalm and 1/2 with autosmart trim ultra....(only downer with trim ultra 4hr dry time :( ) autobalm is also useful for single stage paint...

a further tip is to buy the 3M 3434 low tack blue tape direct from 3M its only 1.80 a roll then not nearly 3 quid a roll...

also another little question for peeps is how many layers do most of you apply to the car personally i apply 2 as i feel 3 is abit OTT, 4 begins stripping it again so wasting product just out of interest more than anything...although bigpikles test on DW could prove to be interesting as to answer this more fully....

dont look that good tbh the hd wax on my car was beading better then that after it had been on there 5months

I have collinite on my roof applied about 4 month ago and that is still beading nicely (in the normal way you would expect it to), whereas this just confused me a bit when it looked like that

I usually apply 2, but i thought this product looked better and better as i added more layers!

The durability of the wax is pretty good, wont be like like your colli though. I really like the wax, you could use something like Dodo Juice Red Mist or Chemical Guys Blitz Spray Sealant after every few washes to top up and add a little more durability and bling :p. Have you tried Dodo Juice Blue Velvet? Would be a good wax to try :D

same for me to tris, i always feel as though im appluing something fake tbh...although its useful for a layer below waxes...plus there to clinical for my own op...
