silver 5 door mk2 punto

I have had my silver mk2 fiat punto speedgear for nearly 4 years and only now I have found the time to start doing it up a bit. Its a 5 door first problem. I am a 3 door fan so what can I do to make it more nicer looking and not big and bulky. I have a lot of scratches on the car I need to know whats best to remove them? I also have a automatic and the the chrome is peeling off the gear stick leaving the plastic underneath. I badly damaged my paasenger door. I have recently bought a mk2 2003 rear door on ebay. I havent fitted it yet. I am hoping it will fit mines a 2001. Its the same colour but not matched them up together yet. Please help what can i do? what can I use. i was thinking alloys but surely that would look tacky..I have no mouldings on the car apart from replacement door I am hoping that will be east to get off...
