I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to clean the red leather seats. I have noticed that the blue jeans (not new ones) are leaving mild stains on the red leather seats. Is there any products out there that would stop the colour transfering to the red leather?

I noticed this too after just a few days of ownership! I used AutoGlym's Vinyl and rubber care, not specifically for leather but it does say on the back that it can be used on leather. Took the dirt right off and if you leave it on, you can give it a high sheen finish (i prefer the Matt finish).

Cleaned the Abarth today, was disappointed to find one large chip on front bumper, a scratch on one alloy, again from a flying stone, another big chip on the sill skirts, tiny chip on windscreen and lots of tar spots! Bloody cheap Welsh roads! Only had it since Monday! Another concerning thing is just above nearside headlight, inch long hairline crack in the paint (on the curved part of the bonnet) not sure what to do about it, leave it or treat it? (might make a new thread)

Must say Ive never "transferred" onto my red leather seats... all ive needed cleaner for so far is the steering wheel, which does come up a treat with cheapo leather wipes! Ive bought some autoglym leather cream just to give it a feed a couple of times a year. Because I'm worth it. :D

Autoglym's Leather Cleaner works a treat and is readily available at your local Halfords.

Try using some baby wipes, you can get a cheap pack from ASDA for about 50p, they moisturise the leather and remove the dirt.

on my new car i'm going to be using saddle soap to clean the seats. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saddle_soap"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saddle_soap[/ame] i'll post up a brief review of it,it's on grey leather with red piping though!:yuck:

Hi...new to this forum, so hope you don't mind me jumping in on the last post regarding leather seats. I am about to order a 500 with leather seats, but a friend has pointed out that in the brochure they are advertized as FAUX LEATHER (fake leather?) I have googled etc and cannot find an explanation for this. Does anyone know if Fiat leather is leather, or are you paying £750.00 for some composite vinyl, leather looking/feeling material? If so, might be better to have the front seats trimmed in real leather by a specialist company when car delivered, which I imagine would be less than £750.00? any / info /opinions/thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah, most people are actually slapping on leather cleaner and feed on plastic coated seats.

Good test is to take a lighter/naked flame to a hidden patch - if it shrivels up it is plastic - if it doesn't it is leather.

Best of just keeping them clean by wiping them with a warm damp microfibre cloth as all the lotions and potions will just make them sticky and attract more dirt!

a slightly less damaging test is to push your nail into the seat, if it's leather just like your own skin it'll leave a mark which slowly fades, synthetic leather shouldn't do anything. or at least that's what i've been told.
