That isn't calling the car crap just saying that it could be better if it was washed, clayed, any scratches or swirls removed then polish and wax.

If you did all that wouldn't take as long to wash in future as you only really need to do that once or twice a year anyway then use speed detailer in between to "top up" the polish

"doesn't look too great." isn't the same as saying its crap. i thought Matt was on about the paint in Kay's demo pic, thats what he posted after.

you don't have to pour a kettle of boiling water over an ice covered window to know it will crack.

Im always skeptical when someone claims something contains a "magic" ingredient, Carnubra on its own doesn't offer long term protection its an Organic product therefore is attacked by nature..

too much carnubra build up can dull the finish on metallic cars anyway

already practiced on my scrap panel (dads car bonnet) and seems fairly easy to do

I wasnt pulling it apart i just said the paint looks dull which it does. And i have a car to polish and i have even done its own detailing thread so gtfo with comments about people not posting up pics of there car.

Bought a wash mitt today and since the weather was fine this morning, I decided to wash my car with warm water and soap, dryed it off using a chamois, then used ProShine, and the car was still dirty.

I ran my hand over the car and it felt rough. Needs to be clayed.....all over.

I think I'll wait 'til we have some decent weather.

There are swirl marks on the roof, but these were already here when I bought the car in '07.

did you use 2 buckets? i washed mine today an the rinse bucket was black in no time

I used 4 buckets, 2 buckets with plain water to rinse the car and get all the bubbles off.

one over his head, as he was using two buckets to wash his car and didn't want to get a reputation as anal in his neighbourhood, where being a nutter is much more creditable
(no offence to anyone intended, OP or people or those who use two buckets)

thing is where do you draw the line between washing your car and protecting it with wax and going ott and spending loads on products which might not neccessarily be worth it. at the end of the day as long as you've got a shiny car with a layer of wax to protect it and your happy it doesn't matter how it's acheived.

So erm if a proper clean and then proshine doesnt clean the car can you explain how proshine on its own can clean it properly?
