ProShine Spray and Shine

ProShine Spray and Shine

I have a bottle of proshine used it quite a few times and I think it does the job very well. It cleans and shines, I cant see any scratches on the car and I wont be looking through a magnifying glass to see if there are any. The lad asked for opinions maybe he was aiming at people who have tried it. How can you form an opinion if you havent used it.

What dave said. You are using a microfibre cloth with a bit o lube inbetween that and dirt, get any decent sized grit particles in and your gonna kill your paint work. Its easy enough to swirl with washmitts if you dont use the right technique and they have a deep pile on them to take dirt away from the paint so if you are using something with nothing to it then all the dirt will sit on top and get dragged along the paintwork. Cant say im willing to risk trying it or wasting my money when there are already plenty of proven methods out there for washing cars.

A decent answer at last. Thank YOU!!:)

I was fed up of using buckets of water to clean my car and was looking for an alternative. I watched a programme on television on freeview and I came across ProShine. Which uses no water at all.

I've washed the car in warm water and soap, left it to dry/used a chamois and then used the Proshine.

Err i think your contradicting yourself

I think what can be drawn from it is that Proshine is ok if used on a clean car or one thats been parked up in a garage and got a bit of light surface dust.......

then again its way over priced IMO

take a look at this:

Now then, do I get the lower strut brace????

I see you have side rubbing strips cant be many cars have them oh just a minute a chrome bonnet strip yippee, I wouldnt bother with the lower strut brace not needed for a little 1.2 pop

You can all believe what you want. I don't care what you guys say about ProShine WHEN YOU HAVEN'T USED IT!!!

I give up.

i think you seem to be missing the logic here.

it is logical to suggest that with nothing more than a little damp and a MF that dirt will get trapped between paint and the MF and consequently get dragged all over the car and cause swirl marks.

you appear to have dropped your common sense on the way in.

i suggest you go get it, and once you stop being so narrow minded and accept the fact that there is more than one way to do things you can come back (y)

Its also logic to say you know nothing about the product but I will enlighten you heavy soiling should be hosed off before using the product. So how do you get the grit off your car without touching it incase you get a swirl mark. It seems to me some of you think it impossible for this stuff to do the job properly without scratching so maybe its you perfect polishers who have the closed mind and not prepared to accept theres more than one way of cleaning a car. Ive just noticed youre female and you will be very logical and full of common sense.

do i detect a hint of sarcasm in your tone?

shampoo and water is by far the most effective technique. just hosing off doesnt even come close to getting enough girt off the car to make it safe to just rub at the paint with a cloth... with lots of water and shampoo the car is lubricated and the grit gets washed away with every wipe...

ive lifted this picture from Detaling world, but it shows you how a mit works, things like chamois leathers just trap the grit and just wipe it into the paint.

and tbh... looking at the pictures the OP has shown us... that car doesnt look too great.

agree with all the sensible people above knowing that the above ... is sh*t, if proshine is anything like diamondbrite....then i should know lol it's sh*t...

oh, my G had it's first outting on the car today v.pleased with the results even if my arms are a little bit well like jelly...

The op asked a question "if anyones tried this stuff what are your opinions" what does he get people who havent used proshine, not happy pulling proshine to bits, pull his car to bits and some of you dont seem to have a car to polish or too ashamed to show it or something.

as this is an open forum, people have to tell it like it is, if no one posted how bad it was other members could go out waste their money and ruin their car.
i didn't see no one pull his car to bits
