Hi all I am not a great fan of car washing but I will wash lindas 500 when we get it, I have a sponge that I use on my company car which is a golf it does get a bit gritty, I don't want to use the same washing stuff for the 500 so which sponge do I need, also do I need a cloth to wipe it down if so which one and waxing I have never waxed a car is it good to do this if so which wax, do I need a wheel brush as we are getting the multispokes and I am sure they will be a pain to clean, thanks in advance as I know you will tell me what's best to use, shampoo as well which make? :D

I wouldnt use a sponge as these are meant to cause swirl marks in the paint. I have one of those sheep skin type mitts that you put on over your hand. Tis nice and soft for the paint ;)

I still use a sponge, I use a cellulose sponge. Don't use the same one for wheels as bodywork, don't want brake dust scratching the paintwork.

I'd recommend something like Autoglyms Ultra Deep Shine for protection on a new car. Apply it every 3 months after a wash.
