Hello,

I have Palio 2 FIRE 1242CC 16V
It comes standard with R14 165/65 Pirreli Tires.

I was thinking of getting some alloys for my car , but I got a mixed view of opinions !
some people tell me to get the new alloys and wheels the same size of my car exactly so that I don't mess with anything !

some other suggested to go for 15" but keep the total " diameter " the same so I won't lose Performance !

so what should I do , get 14" ? or 15" and how to calculate it !

I need a better look and better handling if possible .
Thanks in advance :)

Use that to work out total rolling radius. If its almost identical then your speedo will remain accurate. Beware though by decreasing tire profile it will make for a harsher ride. As for looks, what car are they going on?

EDIT: If you go for 15s you'll want a 195/50 tire. On that basis I wouldnt go for 16+ as tires will become a lot more expensive and much lower profile

Dear Stumac,

Thanks , I just made a small mistake tho , Its 175/65 R14 32T .

Anyways , HARSHER ? Its very very very very VERY VERY HARSH already !
I want it to be allot much easier for the passengers , my dad can't stand my car

Looks wise , its a Fiat Palio 2 ( 2006 )

I am thinking of alloys similar to these :

the more spokes :D the better !

Ok according to the calculator you provided
The closest thing to me would be
205 / 50 / 15
give only 0.5% slower reading ( means i am actualy 0.5% faster )

or 185/55/15
and this gives only 0.2%
but I've heard the wider the Tire/Ally the more stable the ride gets , is this correct ?

Thanks allot mate !

If its very harsh already then I think there is something wrong. have you checked the suspension? Sounds like you could need new shocks or have a broken spring. Its very hard to just say 'doing this will make it better' you can go too wide for the car, or too low profile.

Shocks were broken on 20,000 kms and I replaced them with the original ones ( front that is ) .
its 30.000 kM now .

I am not sure if the car is harsh or the streets are harsher , but I dont feel comfortable at all inside it after a long journey .
