Hi All,

Been having a few problems with my Bravo recently, Car is a:

1.9 multijet dynamic 2008

Had a few problems where i would get in the car in the morning and it would just turn over, i would then lock it unlock it and that sorted it and would be fine after that, i thought most be an immobilser/key fob problem until recently.

The car is now driving for a couple of miles then cutting out, normally restarts but the last time it didnt, sat a set of traffic lights looking a right numpty. Had it towed home and noticed the engine management light was on so i plugged in my reader and the code that came back was

P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Malfunction

My question is where is it? ive got the car up on axle stands at the moment but not sure if its top or bottom of the engine, also ive looked at ordering a new one but have noticed some come with the cable and some are just the sensor so not sure which to buy as some are 2 pin others are 3.

Many Thanks for any help guys.

Still struggling to find the sensor on my particular engine, even a diagram of where it is would help if anyone has one.

Cheers.

Hi :)

Crank is the bottom tucked around the pulley.. follow the alternator belt ;)

I will try and find a similar image:

On the 1st page..1st image..

Where I wrote more awkward than technical

The black tube in the top right of the pic

Next to the

That is the Crank sensor.. points at the big pulley..and picks up a timing signal

Found the sensor and job done.

Thanks for the help all.

Incase anyone needs to find it on the 8v 1.9 engine the location is just below the starter motor and the only way to access it is from below, be warned though it is a really frustrating job to do, you can only reach one hand on the sensor and to pull it out from its location takes ages as you cannot getting any purchase on it.
