Hi all hoping someone can help me. I have a 2008 Fiat Bravo and the engine management light came on as well as errors that hill hold, ASR etc is unavailable.

Diagnostics said MAF had some issues, but that didn't explain the others. Further looking into it the fuse F35 had blown in the glovebox. I replaced that and reset the EML and all was good, but then it blew again.

I tried checking with ABS sensors unplugged, brake pedal switch, reverse lights etc and it kept blowing.

I've traced wires and found pin 19 on the brown fuse box plug was shorting out to ground and confirmed it at the MAF side and Fuel water sensor as according to wiring diagrams that is where they go. Checked continuity from plug side to each of those and confirmed same wire. I unplugged them and plugged it all back in and then it seemed that it was no longer shorting - strange...

However the fuse is still keep blowing. A few times through the investigations the ASR unavailable etc hasn't come up and it's ran on idle for a while but then after a short drive the fuse blows. Now no matter what I do, the ASR faults don't go off and then after a while the fuse blows too. I've ran it with the brake switch unplugged and replaced the switch. I've ran with the MAF unplugged too. All of which it still blows, my next step is to try the fuel water sensor or even all 3 unplugged but I am lost at what it can be now.

Can anyone please help and confirm either that F35 only has MAF, fuel water and brake switch on? Any other reasons that would cause F35 to blow and why/how I could try resetting this or diagnosing the cause as I am really lost on this now.

Thanks in advance
