Hi there,

I'm looking for a how-to to remove a cracked turbo and exhaust manifold.

I think it's pretty straight forward, but i'm also looking for the part numbers of the bolts, screws, etc and torque moment for all the parts.

Hopefully someone could help me out. It's for my GP T-Jet but the Bravo has exactly the same engine, so this removal should be (almost) completely the same as with a punto.

Thanks!

Hi

I have attached the procedure. Please note that there preceding processes shown in blue. if you need any of those please let me know. i have done the process twice already, firstly due to a cracked manifold and then due to a blown turbo.

Thanks for uploading this, superb!

Unfortuantely i've already swapped the turbo and it was right on time. The turbine housing was cracked so much that it almost touched the turbine wheel!

I've swapped it for a used (55.000 km's) VL38 from a Abarth 595. That one also already had some tiny cracks around the wastegate so i've bought a new Armac Turbine housing for it.

See pictures for how right on time I was! In a worse case scenario the housing could touch the wheel and be sucked inside the eninge. Happily this didn't happen.

I now have the car remapped and it's doing around 165-170 hp on the crank with the stock 120 T-Jet camshafts and approx 270-280 Nm.
