Hello. I've noticed that my Fiat Bravo 1.4 120hp "burns" a lot of oil lately, I checked that i had no oil after 5.000 km and put 2 lt. I took it to my mechanic and told me to put the Castrol 10w-60 oil and see what happens in the next 1.000 km.

Does anyone else had the same problem? What do you think about the 10w-60 oil? My car has 107.700 km.

Do you always check oil level on very flat ground?
What brand and type of oil was in car?

Iv never used 10w60.iv only used the stated in the manual 5w40.
There can be many factors that can cause oil burn 1.a leak
2.piston rings
3.air oil segregator
4.oil seal inside turbo
5.unregular oil change.ideal change every 5000 miles.
Have you done any investigation with your problem
