I am owner of 2008 Bravo 1.6 JTD 16v multijet

I made critical mistake and ran over 35-40cm of water on road, water got into engine trough air intake filter and made critical damage

My problem is that im from Croatia, car is made for Belgium market, imported and Im second owner here in Croatia...
Im not sure for car history, import and insurance document show me 66kW, and VIN check show me 77kW motor
Phisicaly, code on engine is unreadable, rusted...
It is really hard to find used engine/motor, and completly new one is too expensive (2100€ for car worth 3000)

I know that there are three possible motor models - 66, 77, 88kW 198A2000, A3000 and A6000 models for my car

Now i have to find broken car with that engine, put it in my Bravo

Question is
What if I found wrong engine, and what if I cant find exact engine?
Will it work ?

Im pretty broke at the moment and I cant give green light for assembling my own engine (about up to 1500e) if that is too expensive, and if i can find engine similiar to mine (hope about 700-1000e)

So, is it possible to put 88kW on 66kW, or vice versa.... and "play" with that three types of engines

Any advice welcome
