I have a 2011 Bravo Multijet 1.6D. I had it serviced at an independent garage a few months ago but they couldn't reset the service mileage / oil degradation counters. The local Fiat specialist has just done this for me - for a mere £48 !!!! But now the 'Service' item is missing from the menu when you press 'Mode' and scroll through so I can't even check that they've done it.
The 'Service' item was there before Fiat had it . . . I took it back to them and they said I need to book it in again ( and pay again too no doubt ) for them to look at it. Anybody have any thoughts on this ? Can the 'Service' feature be deleted from the menu ?
Thanks in advance

on mine I first noticed that when it was reset for the 10 times, it disappears. You can have it back eather if you buy a licence for multi ecu scan or as you say go to Fiat. But they should do it without cost, because they should have set it back to 1.

Thank you Thomasz but Fiat definitely want to charge me for it. I've never been too pleased with Fiat service in general and this just confirms it. I'll never buy another Fiat that's for sure

Your not pleased with fiat because your local garage couldn't reset the oil counter?
Fyi this should reset the oil light/counter

turn on the ignition key,
2-press the gas pedal and hold it,
3-press the brake pedal 7 times without relesing the gas pedal,
4-keep pressing the gas pedal for 60sec.
5-Release the gas pedal and turn of the ignition key,
6- Wait for 60sec.
Then turn on the ignition key and start the engine. Check if the service/oil change light turned off.

no it's not that easy with the oil counter or the service reset. You must have multi-ecu scan or Fiat to do it. I would recommend the ecu - scan because it easy to use.

Hi.:)

Youve confused me there..

Who reset the counters.?

The garage that changed the oil should do it.. ;)

But youve mentioned:

An Indy Garage

FIAT

a FIAT specialist.

Who did what?

Charlie

Yes it is that easy
That process does reset the oil counter
ok I must say I didn't know it was possible without an obd tool on the diesel engine. But that is very good to know, I will try it in the next oil change.
