Hello again!
I have a 2009 2.0 mjet Bravo with 172k miles on it. Bought it with 157k miles and I have always had the dreaded shudder under acceleration in 3rd and 4th. Since I bought it, I changed the drivers side spider bearing alone to no avail. Inspected the cup the other day and found it to be super worn out. Couldn't for the life of me find any cups online, and wasn't gonna pay the price of ~€400 from fiat for the shaft.
Soooo, I rang Shop4Parts UK and asked, turns out they can get a FULL recon shaft, which includes a new cup, CV joint and spider bearing, with a 12 month warranty, for £145 + vat.
Since this isn't listed on the website, I'm unsure if anyone who needs this fix is aware of it.
Hopefully this helps some poor chum like me sort the horrendous vibration.
