Hi all
Following on from my lack of performance issue (perception of loss of boost), I think I may be starting to get to the bottom of it.
Today when the car would coast then have power reapplied it would kick out a cloud of oil. Furious stripping down revealed mayo on the outlet of the oil separator to air inlet pre-turbo. No mayo anywhere else.
Separator was filled with a thin liquid. I suspect this is fuel, dragging through the vacuum lines into the inlet manifold from a failing fuel regulator (would explain the crappy power with occasional mule kick on hard acceleration).
I plan on removing the vacuum line from the regulator to check for a moist hose (all puns intended) tomorrow to confirm my theory, but would be interested if anyone has had this before?
And where do I get a replacement?
Craig
