Hi all

Just thought I would write up how i found and cured my loss of power in my T-Jet 150.

It would completely bog down at ~3500rpm in any gear, which i first thought to be a brake switch issue. Checked the switch operation and all appeared good however, which led me to think that the turbo should be getting into its stride at about the revs i was having a problem at.

I had a good nosey around the engine bay, and realised that the boost control solenoid wasn't where it was supposed to be, it's locating clip had snapped and it was hanging free between the engine and the radiator. I removed the wiring sheath and found that one of the two wires had snapped, meaning that when boost built up the ecu couldn't regulate the wastegate and must cut fuel to bring boost down.

Ten minutes with a soldering iron and some electrical tape fixed the wire, and a ty-wrap secured the solenoid in its rightful place and my bravo now accelerates as it should.

Winner!
