Hello I have a problem, with my Fiat Bravo. The thing is when I release the gas and the engine starts to brake. Then the engine starts to chopp, and it's sounds like someone hit the car underneath with a hammer. And the car makes a twitch. And after a short while it dose that again. I can se on the rpm indicator that every time the engine does that. The pointer falls back a little bit.
What can it bee? Sorry for my bad English.
Best regards Erik[

Hi Erik. First you have to tell us which engine are we talking about. Fuel it uses and power rating.

It sounds like you have a problem in the drivetrain: dual mass flywheel, engine mounts, driveshafts.

I would say most probably the engine mount are gone/loose, the engine torques and some part hits something, probably the exhaust on the main/central dust shield's support bracket (easily bendable piece of flat steel bar).

Thank you so much, If that would be the problem, is it expensive to repair do you think?

Best regards Erik
