So you start off with 13mm bolts to take off the calipers from the carriers. IMG_20171105_160245.jpg

What I found was funny was( I was unsure at the time) was how to wind back the calipers, and which direction. I found a fourm with a great bit of advice. Wind the caliper back with the direction of the wheel if the car was driving forwards.what was even better was the "tool" I used IMG_20171105_160237.jpg

A grinder wrench!
My pads were in desperate need of a change (down to metal). The before and after are shown IMG_20171105_160316.jpg IMG_20171105_160309.jpg

I did the exact same with my stilo.

And yep bang on... they wind back the same way the wheel turns.

I did mine on the bench as i overhauled the lot and gave everything a deep clean and also regreasded my pins etc.

I also used the grinder wrench :) fits perfect, abit tedious though as it takes a while to get them fully wound back and if they have popped right out of the thread it can be a pain to get them in and winding back properly...

Next time ill be using a proper tool (when ive bought one) to save my wrist aching... but if all else fails i know i can use good old improvision and pull out the old grinder wrench.
