Hi all,

This is my first post, hopefully I can get some useful information from you guys.

I have been offered a Fiat Bravo in great condition and a very attractive price.

The specs are:
-Year of construction 2009
-Bravo Multijet 1.6 120hp
-All the extras you can think of (clima, usb and bluetooth, etc.) plus some added by the owner (handsfree, great stereo with large display, rear camera for parking), 18 inches alloys
-Dualogic transmission
-165000km (mostly motorway but some city driving too).
-well serviced

I took it for a spin and was pleased with the handling of the car, except the transmission. When I used fully automatic it was quite rough, it was much better when I switched to manual and changed gears myself. I missed to try the E mode (eco?) in fully automatic, maybe that one was better.

I am aware that transmission aint really automatic, just a manual gearbox with electronic clutch. The owner has had its oil change every second year.
I could live with the Dualogic even when not in love with its handling, yet I am a concerned about its reliability. When I googled about it I found a number of users that have experienced multiple problems (normally very expensive repairs) but I haven't found a single person saying something like "I have driven a Bravo with Dualogic for 230000km without problems with the gearbox".

I would very much appreciate hearing from people who own a Bravo with Dualogic transmission (especially those with a high mileage), your experience and whether you would recommend it.

Sorry about the long post and thanks in advance,

Hi,
I have a Lancia Delta with 1.6 Multijet 120 (fiat engine) (200.000 km) and a selectronic gearbox (very similar to dualogic or selespeed) Can I ask you for your advise:
The system is running fine :) but I have had a small leak somewhere from the selectonic unit for about 2 years. I have replaced the oil in the selespeed and the gearbox about 2 years ago.

1. Is it normal that when I open the car through passenger door and check the selespeed oil level it is right to the top of the container, well above the maximum level. But as soon as the pump is activated the level drops well below the minimum level...

2.The pressure in my system is between 35-40 bars. I heard it is meant to be lower than in Alfas, but does anyone know if it is acceptable?
Thanks a lot for your advice,
Artur
