I have a 2008 Fiat Bravo 1.6 105. So here's the problem...Last month I got an engine warning light that threw back the codes P0488, P0487 (both of which are Exhaust Gas Recirculation Throttle Position Control Circuit) and P01EA (no idea).

Took it to a garage who had a look and cleared the codes to see if they would come back and yesterday the P01EA code returned along with the engine light. Now I can tell you confidently that google doesn't know what this code means so for the moment I'm stuck. :bang::bang: If it was one of the other 2 codes then I would know it's a problem with the throttle body or EGR valve and probably just in need of a clean out which I'll probably do anyway.

As for the P01EA code, can anyone offer some help? :worship:

What were you using to read the codes? Generic code readers will only read generic codes, manufacturer specific codes need specific software (ie. MultiECUScan) to be properly read.

Just a 10 quid usb thing on amazon. But then I'm pretty sure the garage was confused by the code as well using their specialist unit. Perhaps I'll take it back there or get the recommended software and unit as you said. I'll report back, Thanks!

Lots of members have MES and the necessary cables, etc already. If you tell us where you are, maybe they can do it for you if they're local

Hello @price8963 . Did manage to fix this problem. I have Fiat Bravo 2008 1.6 105 diesel too. From a few weeks I am getting P0487 too. I cleared the throttle and the EGR valve but the error keeps coming again. Today I also received this P01EA error. Sometimes my car also have very unstable idle. When the idle is unstable my MAF reading go from below 2 g/s to 12-13 g/s. When the car is stable the MAF stays on 10.5 g/s which might be high for this car. I am planning on cleaning my MAF sensor. I hope you can provide some help. Thanks in advance!
