Posts: 5 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Car "wobble" 1.9 diesel 150multijet sport Has anyone else had this and if so, what was it? Between 35 and 50mph the car wobbles under acceleration only, and in 3rd n 4th gears. It becomes worse in gradual left hand bends. All shaking stops once I go into 5th or hit 50 or I take my foot off the gas at any point in those speeds. I originally thought it may be wheel balancing, tracking or tie rods, but surely it would still wobble whilst off the gas if this was the case. I do a lot of mileage n need my car. Any ideas?

If suspension components or engine gearbox mounts are worn, things move as you come of the throttle due to the reduction in torque. I think you car has the M32 6 speed box, same as my Croma. Wobble due to worn "tulip" style inner CV joint's is a known problem on the Croma. Search tulip and wobble on here. The cure for he Croma is to fit Vauxhall Vecta drive shafts which is ironic as the Tulip seems to be a GM design used on the Astra but GM changed it on the Vectra but Fiat didn't. The Croma and Vectra C have the same floorpan and running gear.. Robert G8RPI.
