Dear forum readers. I own a 2007 fiat bravo sport with the 150hp strong 1.4 litre t-Jet engine. I have been driving it for almost 6 months now. But since a couple of weeks back i have this weird problem.

it feels like it's lacking power at some times. It doen't occur all the time but let's say 70% of the time. The specific problem is that when i push full throttle, the car is not accelerating as it should. it feels like it's holding back some power. the first time i drove the car i was amazed by the feeling it pushed me back in my chair on full acceleration. but this isn't always the case anymore. It happens in every gear.. but best feeled in 2nd and 3th. I also think it makes a little more noise then when i first had the car. But this can be also in my head.

I've been to my local garage two times now, but they can't find any problems with the car. So i decided to let them do a full service of the car. they changed the oil filter, airfilter, Oil, Brake fluid, and the spark plugs. But nothing changed. I have also add some injection cleaner to the petrol. But didn't make any difference too.

I hope someone here can help me with this problem. And give some opinions about what you think it can be. So i can go back to the garage and let them check again. I hope i have explained my problem as goog as possible.. english is not my first language.

Greetings from a fiat bravo owner from holland;)

thanks for your fast answer. I just went for a short drive with radio off. And i noticed that there's also a sushing noize(like shhhhh) when i apply throttle.. this is best heard in 6th gear. also when changing gears there are a few noises noted. but all very subtle and maybe just normal shifting sounds. i also noticed that putting the car in sport mode, the problem is better feeled. so more lack of power during acceleration and not stable at all trough the rev buildup. The car is almost shocking a bit.

You need a graph of the manifold air pressure, rpm, load, throttle position, with car acceleration in 4th gear from ~1500 rpm (car on road while driving) with full throttle.

There we can see a few things: pressure from turbo, state of the throttle position sensor
