Hi all.
The gearlever on my Sport has a lot of play when selecting first and moving off. Has anyone an idea as to what causes this. Mounts look good visually.

Odd the play should be there in every gear.
The rubber bushings on the cable on the gearbox, mine had about 6mm of play (on the gearbox side =>1-2 cmm on lever side).

With regards to the selector cables, how involved is it to replace? has anyone done them before and level of difficulty. What needs to be removed etc as I am tossing the idea of giving it to a dealer to do.

Unless you have access to a ramp and a rivet gun, I'd consider giving the job to a garage. A riveted heatshield has to be removed to gain access to the cables...
