Hey, new to the forum and glad I discovered it.

Any help is very much needed and greatly appreciated.

About six months ago I bought a 1996 fiat bravo 1.4sx 12v and for the first two she ran fine although she suffered from Jerky acceleration and intense engine breaking right from the beginning (also increased fuel consumption).

It wasn't until after the fist few month that the car seemed to start cutting out when warm but this rapidly progressed to cutting out after only 10 minutes to 30 and the temporary didn't seem to matter at all.

The symptoms are, strong petrol odour from exhaust, hesitant acceleration, intense engine breaking, engine cuts out at random stages and Temps, engine sounds loud, hesitant and weak idle, surging and sometimes she won't turn over at all.

I replaced the fuel pump and symptoms briefly improved, I then changed the fuel filter, air filter and spark plugs but although a small improvement the same symptoms persisted. I went on to replace, alternator, ect sensor and all temp sensors, lambda, crank sensor, coil pack, cam belt, and batteries.

As of today none of this has helped, I connected it to a diagnostic machine today that my friend has and it returned (fault code unknown 255) and I also removed the spark plug and they were dry but last time I checked they were wet which was only a few days ago?

I'm not very good with cars lol thank you for any help
