Hi guys,

I'm very new to this and don't really know much about tuning cars, so go easy on me!

I've had a Fiat Bravo 1.4 Active 90BHP 2009 for about 6 years now. My back box on my exhaust is about to go, so I am weighting up the options of getting it replaced OR just paying a little more and fitting a performance exhaust.

Does anyone know which performance exhausts I can fit without having to replace my entire bumper? Or if I need to replace it, is it the bottom trim on the bumper that gets replaced?

Thanks in advance.

Search ulter sport, they are relatively cheap. But only mild steel, which is fine and would probably out live the age of the car now!

A small cut would need to be made into the lower plastic valence.

As Aurick suggest it's all down to budget as you seriously won't notice any difference apart from noise with a sports exhaust as the gains will be very marginal. For a noticeable difference you'd need a new manifold and sports cat but your talking 0000's

Also it's worth noting a badly fitted or fabricated exhaust will have the adverse affect and you'll loose a few HP

It's one of the cheapest stainless exhausts you can get for the car!

Have a browse through the various makes of exhaust available for the bravo on the above link and you see the ulter is half the price

I thought the first link you sent over was mild steel. Are both links stainless steel? The websites don't really state the material

GBP 200 incl. free shipping is a bargain.
Ulters are mild steel with black protective coating and stainless end pipe(s).
They last about 5-7 years at least.

When you put it like that, it's a bargain. I just need me a new bumper now from the sports models with the exhaust cut out. Hopefully I can pick one up from a scrappy and respray it.

I'm also looking to add these - they seem like a bargain too

Am i missing something?
It's still a steel exhaust (granted it's painted)
There will be no power increase... maybe just sound.
So why spend 200GBP on it?

The side skirts do look nice... i would love some of those.
Not sure on the quality tho.

If i was to get them.. i think i would try vinyl wrap.. maybe carbon.

Ultersport has about 80% less back pressure, has a deep, sonore sound, and look just great.
They are a real bargain, compared to expensive, original and other well known so called "sports" exhausts, like "Devil", "Remus", "SuperSprint", etc.
The "no shipping costs" option is a real bonus too.
Most Ulters are available in stainless steel as well, at a slightly higher cost, just ask them for a quote.

I have a 160HP Alfa GT jtd with an Ultersport, looks and sounds great.
It's done more than 5 years and 125000mls now, and is about to be replaced by a new one..
I also just ordered an Ultersport backbox for my wife's new Alfa Giulietta 1,4 Turbo 170HP.
