Hello all,
So I've just munched through my front brake pads (and the discs are pretty well gouged too). The final straw was an impromptu and ill-advised 7-lap session at Donington Park yesterday, after our track car's engine succumbed to oil starvation.
Actually, it drove remarkably well - and quickly - on track. Far better than a bone stock, comfortable family hatchback has any right to do.
Anyway since it needs doing I might as well upgrade. Can anyone recommend a reasonable upgrade path for front discs & pads for the 2.0D Bravo? I've been looking at EBC grooved discs with green stuff, but I've no experience with them. There's also an option for 2 different calipers - Bosch and Girling, and I don't know which I have. I'd rather not have the wheels off unnecessarily. Other options, Brembo I guess?
As an aside, I also tracked the Punto on Saturday. That was terrifying - especially with Chinese ditchfinder tyres on the back, on a greasy track...
Cheers
