Hi guys, not often I venture in here!

I'm driving about 500 miles a week at the moment, and looking for something slightly more economical than the Punto. I've come across a 1.6 Eco on Autotrader which looks like it ticks all the boxes, but I'm looking for some real-world thoughts on driving one. 90% of my journey is motorway so I'm looking for comfort, low road noise, but the ability to pick up speed quickly if needed.

Thanks in advance :)

You will have no problems with the 1.6 bravo then. Comfortable but has plenty of power and is very economical

Hi guys
On a related aspect - I'm also considering a Bravo 1.6 dynamic eco - a big attraction is the projected fuel economy, and wondered if anyone has first hand knowledge of whether the car will actually deliver the official 62mpg average in real life driving (have to say that with my current stilo I have no problem achieving the official average of 43mpg and usually get comfortably more). Just wondering...
Cheers

Hi,
I've a Fiat Bravo 1.6 mjet 105 ECO since 2008 July. I've a consumption average about 4.5-4.7 litres/100 km but I guess it is depends on your driving style and the route you take. My colleague has the same car and he has an average of 4.0 l/100 km. Cheers

So that's between 60-70 UK Mpg, that's actually very good!

I drive around 200 kilometers (124 miles) per day, I usually drive 120kmph (75mph) in Belgium and 130 (81mph)in the Netherlands. I have the duo-logic semi-automatic gearbox with eco-drive and I never use the Eco button. It limits the car's rpm and it feels so much slower then.

Eco-drive mainly saves fuel in the city really, on the highway it doesn't make a difference at all. Plus with my sporty driving and without Exo-drive I still average around 5,5 / 100km (51mpg) and 4,5 / 100km when driving less fast and more relaxed (62mpg).
