Your best bet to avoid gearbox trouble is to go with the 1.9 Multijet 120bhp. It's available in the Active, Dynamic and (uber rare) Active Sport models. It's got the 5 speed box and no DPF. It will have climate control on the Dynamic model but i'm not sure how concerned i'd be about that.

I was of the understanding that the T-Jet 150 and 1.9 Multijet 150 had the M32 box, but it might be fitted with other engines and, having had a Vivaro in the family with the M32, i'd be very happy to give it a wide birth!
