Hi

First post here. Strange one really. A couple of days ago I went to to turn on the climate control console and absolutely nothing happens. No lights, no noise, nothing. None of the buttons on the console work. My hope is that it's just a fuse. I've experimented with replacing a couple of different ones (F39 and F53), as displayed from the handbook but no sign of life yet.

Would anyone have any ideas as to the exact fuse, or what other problem it might be. I'm fearing the worst in terms of expense but am always up for trying to resolve it myself if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Fiat Bravo climate control dead [solved]

The other thing that had happened at the same time was the mileage was flashing so it got me thinking that it may have been connected to the climate control issue in terms of a system malfunction. So after reading a couple of other posts and with a fair amount of cynicism, I opted for disconnecting the battery for a few seconds. And bugger me, it only went and worked!

So basically turn off, turn on again, save yourself a few hundred quid!

Cheers.

Re: Fiat Bravo climate control dead [solved]

To me it wool seem there is a problem with the battery ground.

Disconnecting and reconnecting will make it work for a while as when you establish the connection a small spark will be created cleaning away the oxides from a small contact area.

Clean battery connections and earth points for starters.

Thanks for that, I will indeed check out the connections.
