Hello, I've recently picked up an issue on my Bravo 1.4 T-Jet 150. First noticed after a long 200 mile round trip, and has since came back last night.

In gears 4th, 5th and 6th, holding the accelerator at a constant rate causes the engine to stutter/shudder and causes a loud knocking as if the cylinder is misfiring. Happens only when i have a full car of people. I've researched in the forum and the most likely causes I can find are an exhaust fault (New exhaust MOT advisory due within 6 months), spark plugs changing (due for a service within the month anyway) and most likely the coil packs. A few other suggestions are the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) and the driveshaft but I see this as fairly unlikely.

Only happens in higher gears and when the engine is under a lot of torque, in particular climbing up hills. Any advice on what could be the case or what i should check out? Problem has only just sprung up and want to get it fixed ASAP! My first thing to check out will be the coil packs, will test them with an Ohm-meter.

Thanks for anyones advice!

Hi, :)
any warning lights..
worth getting fault codes read to help with diagnosis,
I'd expect logged misfires..or fuel supply warnings..
