Hi guys, I've been reading the forum for a few weeks in the deciding to buy my first Fiat.

Today I brought a 2007 1.4 t-jet 150 dynamic and took a usb drive loaded with mp3s to enjoy on the drive home. However, I inserted the drive into the usb port below the AC console, it's labeled as "powered by windows mobile" and pressed the source button on the CD player expecting it to switch to USB but the display read "No CD".

Am I missing the point of the usb port, I thought it acted as a USB aux input.

I've read about a feature called Blue&me. Is this feature related to the operations of the usb port as I think I was also mistaken in thinking my bravo had Bluetooth.

Thanks for indulging my ignorance.

Loving the car by the way. 'twas quite the upgrade from my previous and first car,a 2002 1.0L 3door Corse which I had for the last 2 years.

It will be good if some expert can shed some light on the functionality of this usb! I was able to pair my phone though using bluetooth, but failing to understand the functionality of this 'usb' port! It wont even charge my 'iphone' but accepts an android for charging, but still cant play the music!

Having come from a Punto with the USB input to a Bravo, I got confused too. Flicking through source doesn't go to the USB, the only way I can get it going is to go through the menu using the phone button and selecting media player from there.

You will need a blue and me adaptor to play music

Not true. If you have a pre 2010 car you may require the adapter to play DRM'd iTunes music, not ordinary mp3's. It ONLY applies to Apple products. Non DRM music always worked from an iPod using the iPod charging cable directly connected to the cars USB port.

About 4 years ago Google changed the way that Android presented itself to systems, it no longer appears as a mass storage device. Before this Android phones worked fine with Blue and Me.

If you want to play music get yourself a cheap USB stick and ping all your mp3's on to it, works like a charm.

That's weird my 2009 Bravo cycles through all the available sources from the head unit, this includes the USB input.

Hmmm, well that's confusing. I thought it was just one of those typical Fiat 'quirks'. Maybe something wrong with mine. Still, not the end of the world to push a button like 4 times to get it to come on.

USB slot doesn't seem to do anything with my android Samsung phone. Do I need to update something or get an adapter of some sort? Please help!
