Hello All,
I've just bought a 58 reg Bravo 1.9 jtdm dynamic, its cheap and cheerful to use as a mile muncher for commuting. its got 85k miles on it, with a full service history, and the garage has just changed the cam belt for me along with an oil change and new mot and a couple of new front tyres. They also fixed the gear linkage, which they suggested is a common fault.
Anyway, with all of that, it should in theory be good to go for a while.... but i have one niggle - there's something making a nasty noise generally only on tickover, i haven't troubleshot this in any great detail yet, but my first instinct says its pulley bearings, and after sticking my head under the bonnet, it sounds like it might be coming from the air con compressor pump pulley
So just wondering if anyone has suffered similar, and if it needs a new compressor, how difficult a job is it?
I've also noticed that on the dual zone climate control, with both sides set to LO, the passenger side blows hot air - no big deal as I'll generally be the only one in the car and drivers side is fine, but would be nice if i can fix
