Hi,
Time for my first post and I'm looking for advice. After owning my Bravo for 5 days as I left work for home it stalled. It restarted but showed the engine light and said 'check engine' on the dash.
The car restarted fine and drove well until I made it to lane 4 of the motorway and the engine cut out. After some dodgy lane changes in heavy traffic I made it to the hard shoulder. Break down called and the problem diagnosed as the fuel pump relay. After swapping the relay for the fog light one the car started and drove home fine.
Today a 30 minute drive to work was also fine not so the drive home. Again the car stalled, restarted and the engine light came on. After swapping the relays back again it ran fine for a bit then cut out again. another relay swap and it made it home fine.
Anybody had similar problems? The relay for the fuel pump is slightly different looking to all the others with the following written on it - A727 12v 20 A 702.30.
Not sure if this is the correct one or not. Mr AA man said he thought it was getting hot and breaking down?? Where can I get one? How much?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Russ
