Hi, I am Shiizzo and I am from South Africa.

I recently bought a metallic grey 2009 150 T-jet Sport. It's my first Italian car, coming from a series of VW's. The car itself is nice, but I've had some problems with it recently.:(

It seems that when I pull the window washer stalk to me, nothing happens. Then, when I push it away from me, the front window washers switch on, and the rear wiper switches on. That's not right, right?

I've had problems with the window washers from when I bought the car already, which the dealership repaired for me. Also, the rear passenger door would not lock... Also fixed by the dealership. (y)

Anyways, I'm liking the car overall, although I actually bought it for my wife, so I don't get to drive it very often.

Locking the car from within? I think there is an option which doors should lock and you configure that with on board computer. Regarding water etc. if you pull it should start washing windows, if there is no water nothing else will happen, except the wipers doing their work. Perhaps you did not have enough water inside as it takes so time for the first time if it is empty to push the water all the way.

Welcome to the forum dude!!!
Great to see another South African on here man.

Those problems are rather weird occurrences... I've got a feeling someone previously meddled with wiring or something in the engine, cause it shouldn't be doing that. Towards you is front water + front wipers and away from you should be back water + back wiper......

If you have the previous service history I rate you go check it through for any major services or parts replaced, cause the is could've been the places that they disassembled things and didn't put them back together properly.

But on other terms, welcome to the Italian family of cars, you'll both love and hate these cars at sometimes, but mostly love. Pity to here the Bravo is your wife's daily drive because it's a really nice car that's pretty fast too. Will surprise many guys in their BMs and Mercs

The solenoid in the door did not make any sound when I pressed the central locking button on the key remote. So the door would not lock at all. I even turned that manual override in the door, and it did nothing.

Thanks for the welcome, buddy!

The car has an aftermarket cruise control and rear parking sensors, so there's definitely been some meddling with the wires (n)

As far as I know, the water for the front and rear washers comes from the same water bottle, is it not? But ja, there is probably some issue with the wiring... some sort of short circuit even?

Aftermarket cruise control? Could it maybe not be just the cruise control stick taken from the Fiat 500 (Abarth I think it is) and just added it? Cause if it is so, then it was a simple connection as all the Bravos have the adapter for cruise control, they just don't all have the actual stalk connected. If not, then yeah I'm pretty sure there's lots of meddling with the wires....
Perhaps even they just connected the wrong water pipes for the washers coming from the reservoir. But glad it's fixed now man (y)

You have any pics of the car?

Ja, it's aftermarket, not Fiat made.

The washers are still broken... Just saying that it was broken before and was fixed by the dealership. Then they broke again.

Ohhhh okay, silly previous owners, would've saved them time and money just fitting a cruise control stalk from a 500.

Oh okay that's rather weird the then. cause I have no idea how they'd possibly be able to get mixed up like that.....

So, finally the wiper washers work as intended. It took some back and forth with the dealership I bought the car from, but overall I'm happy with the experience. I don't know what they did to fix the issue though. Maybe some crossed wires or something.
