Small flat collar shaped clamp which bolts on to underside of gearbox/engine. This collar is clamping around the down-pipe after it bends and just before the union to the middle pipe . This (the clamp) has rusted half-away and I got an advisory on MOT. The clamp is not listed on eper, nor in the klarius or bosal books. Can anyone tell me if this is originally welded to the downpipe - as its so badly corroded on mine I cant tell. (Car is 1.4 (90))

Here's a Stilo 1.4 for what it's worth...

6 and 7 are shown as 'brackets'.

I would hazard a guess that it's the one that is held by bolt no.5 in which case they only come with the pipe. It's not a vital part but you can get some perforated strip from Halfrauds ETC and make one up.

:yeahthat:

Only supplied with the whole manicat when I tried to get one from Fiat :bang:

It is fairly important imo as stops flexing in the manicat and on its welds. A decent garage should be able to make one up through fabrication though (y)
