There will become mixed opinions on what I have done but I believe nobody has ever done this on a bravo, I bought the unit from ldpeformance and took around 3 hours to install

Had to cut into each ignition coil, the clutch switch and the fuse box, managed to get it right 1st time and the result was not what I was expecting

Never heard something so loud in my life, my ears were still ringing the next morning

I've set the limiter to 4k rpm, the videos do not do it justice at all, had a,lot of fun with it, also it allows me to flat foot shift when changing gears. It builds 0.8 bar at idle and the launches are awesome

This isn't a bravo lol :p

Glad you took the time to reply.
The irony was likely lost on you with being Greek. However punching "fiat bravo turbo launch control/anti lag" into you tube brings that up as the most recent.
Meaning the OP likely had their video as private, thus their thread pointless without a link/access the video.
Im getting on,but can still read video titles

Interesting.
How does it work? I'll guess it's something like this:
-when it hits 4k it does not allow spark to occur until it drops below 4k.. and that triggers the back fires... fuel in exhaust
-and then when you drop the clutch it disconnects and allows the engine to rev freely.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Not far off aurick, theres 3 settings, rpm, miss and delay, the higher the miss is turned up the more sparks are missed so the more petrol is being dumped in the exhaust, and the delay is the time between each back fire

JackFi, I had to cut the wire coming from the ECU to the coils and snip them, then put the coils 4 wires coming from the ECU into the unit, then the 4 wires coming from the coils into the unit and ground it all, I'll upload the pictures of it in a few hours

A ton of misfires events will be logged in the ECU.. is there any chance that will make the ECU go into "limp home mode"?

I'm not sure I can see the point in misfires. Surely that's the sign of a poorly running motor?

There used to be an old man over the road with a Morris 1000 that back fired - I'm not sure it suits the Bravo but each to their own.

The launch control seems a good feature though!

Fair play for trying something different but I don't get it :) why would you want your Bravo to sound and behave like that?

Do you competitively race it or something?

For those that do not understand how the system works.. check this:
.

It should delay the spark when it reaches 4k rpm so that the fuel-air mixture ignites closer to the exhaust valves opening.. the hot expanding gases spool the turbo.

I do see the need for this system if you have a giant turbo.. but the Bravo's ones are small and spool really easy..... but this also works as a launch control limiting the revs to 4k with the clutch pressed.. after it's released the car revs up as normal.
But when changing gears the revs are again limited to 4k.. and the gases again spin the turbo

There is a company in Greece called Revlimit that does launch control and flat foot shifting via the obd so no cutting. Search for Revlimit on youtube too. They do it on our cars.

Yup, no cable cutting etc, only ecu re-programming.
